| The United States gives generous aid whenever disaster strikes, natural or manmade, anywhere in the world. We don't require that the people we are helping share our values or interests, or even that they particularly like us. Were any other countries willing to send aid to Florida after the recent hurricanes? We buy so many of our consumer goods come from China; did they send aid? Our oil providers such as Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates? Or wealthy countries such as France, Germany, or Japan? I hope they did send aid, but I haven't heard any reports about it. |
