Dare to...
Help Yforum.com in its new mission.
Yforum, founded in 1998, is at an exciting
crossroad.
Our mission has always been to bring your
brave discussions that cross racial, gender, orientation and
religious lines to the masses -- to help us all realize that despite
our similarities, we all see things just a little bit differently
from one another. The sooner we embrace that, the sooner we can get
past it, and accomplish great things together.
Now we have bold plans to expand your
dialogue in new ground-breaking ways (you've always broken the rules
as Yforum.com pioneers, so why stop now?).
Just for a moment, picture this: In the same
way social networking sites such as MySpace and Facebook bring people
together of similar interests and backgrounds, we are at work on our vision
to grow Yforum.com into a radically new kind of networking site: one
that brings people together of different backgrounds.
Imagine the first true networking site in which the very reason you
are there is to meet, talk to and learn from people who look at
things in ways you may have never thought of or dreamed.
At last, the open spirit and promise of the
Internet can begin to be met. And you can play a vital
role.
To help us fully achieve this enormous
undertaking, we need your help. We have not sought contributions
since the first year of our project, but now we are asking that you
find it in your heart to donate a small amount to Yforum.com. Whether
it be $10, $25, $100 or another amount you feel comfortable with,
please make a one-time donation to our cause, so that we can continue
this labor of love in new and pioneering ways.
And, on a personal note, I want to say thank
you, to all of our Yforum.com contributors and users. You have
proved, in a way that has affected me deeply and changed the course
of my life, that given the chance, people will gladly engage in
productive dialogue, even when it is about the most provocative and
even divisive topics.
Best to you all,
Phillip J. Milano
