I HAVE FINALLY SEEN THE LIGHT |

| Hello, all you YFORUM readers. I would like to get off the usual RACE and SEX catagories for a minute and talk about something that really stymies the hell out of me. If you have been watching TV lately you know that a tsunami recently hit Indonesia and almost wiped it off the face of the earth. This is one of the most awful things in recent history, and the Indonesians need all the help they can get. Personally, I was very proud of the United States for stepping up to the plate and offering our assistance. Part of the assistance America is offering consists of a contingent of U.S. Marines and their equipment (manpower, food, water desalination units, medical, and construction). You name it--we offer it. And free of charge I might add. But here's the deal--the Indonesian government says they are willing to accept all this stuff, but not without conditions. The Marines are more than welcome to come ashore and work for the Indonesians IF THEY LEAVE THEIR WEAPONS ON THE BOAT. While working ashore the Marines will be GUARDED BY THE INDONESIAN ARMY. After the Marines have worked all day they will be compelled to RETURN TO THEIR SHIP FOR THE NIGHT. The Indonesian government also demands that ALL AMERICANS BE OUT OF THEIR COUNTY BY MARCH. Now, if you have kept up with world events you will know that Indonesia is in a constant state of civil war and it is rife with AL QAEDA, MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD, and terrorists of every stripe who probably have wet dreams about falling upon some unarmed unit of United States Marines. My motto is this: WHITHER GO MY MARINES SO GO THEIR WEAPONS. Thank you, Indonesia, for opening my stupid, naive American eyes. We really are in a world-wide HOLY WAR just like you Muslims have always wanted. Thanks to Indonesia I have decided to reclassify myself from Agnostic to Christian. The world now has another 'CRUSADER,' a term the Muslims are so fond of using. Heretofore I considered Muslims as being in two categories: The first category being people of the true Islamic faith and the second category being radical Muslims dedicated to destruction of all religions except Islam. As of right now, I would not trust a Muslim in a shithouse with a muzzle on. However, way down deep in my heart, I really don't want to be a CRUSADER. My question to all you YFOROM'ers is this: If you think I am wrong--exactly which part of what I have stated is not true? |
