Subject: What is the Holy Spirit?

In the Bible, Jesus speaks to his Disciples about the Holy Sprit. The passage can be found in John 16 versus 5 through 10. The Father, Son and Holy Spirit are part of the Trinity, which can be a challenging concept theologically! The Holy Spirit is not a human soul. The Holy Spirit is often referred to as "The Comforter." Although they seem to be separate entities, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit are one entity with three parts - kind of like a three-leaf clover. Basically, I look at the Holy Spirit as the one who took over after Jesus ascended to heaven to comfort and protect us until He returns again. Hope that helps.
